Strawberry Picking
At EdenBerry, you can pick and enjoy your own strawberries at their freshest and juiciest, straight from the field.
Booking is required and can be done online here or via WhatsApp at 0811220369. Entrance is N$150 per person and children under 3 enter for free.
We provide a bucket container so that you can simply head to the strawberry fields where the real fun begins. Our Viva Patricia, Splendor and Albion strawberry varieties grow particularly well in our climate and bears delicious juicy red strawberries that are perfect for a snack, juices, shakes, and desserts. Enjoy a taste of Eden in a strawberry small or large that grows close to the ground and is very rewarding.
Picnic
Enjoy a tranquil outdoor picnic with the beautiful Auas Mountains as a backdrop at EdenBerry. We have 18 picnic spots available and should be booked in advance here.
We have a kiosk and swiping facilities available when you come for the strawberry picking experience.
Playground
EdenBerry prides itself on being a healthy, child-friendly atmosphere where families can enjoy clean air and tranquility. Our outdoor play area is designed to amuse children and is conveniently situated where parents can keep an eye on them while picnicking.
Entry to the playground is free for all day picnickers.
Splash pools
Great fun in the sun for kids. We have two splash pools for young children to enjoy.
A picnic booking is required to enjoy the splash pools.
Splash pools are for all able-bodied children who can swim but should be supervised by parents at all times. Children to wear proper swimwear and apply sunscreen. Bring your own towels.
When is the strawberry picking season?
We are open every day between August to January from 10:00 – 17:00.
*Rainy weather conditions may affect the availability of strawberry picking.
Do I need to make a booking?
Individuals and families can make a booking for strawberry picking.
Duration
Take your time and carefully inspect each berry, aiming to pick only the ripest and juiciest strawberries. It will take about 30 – 40 minutes to pick your strawberries.
Wear
Make sure to dress comfortably and wear a hat and sunscreen.
Bring along
Cooler box and refreshments, camping chairs and/or swimming clothes for kids. Good vibes and big smiles are a must!
Fitness
You must be able to walk along narrow rows where the ground might be uneven.
Age Category
All ages are welcome, but we recommend supervising younger children.

How to pick the perfect EdenBerry strawberry?
- Fill your container with sweet red strawberries and enjoy.
- Bend down and look through the plants, moving the leaves away to search for the best berries.
- Select a berry that is bright red and does not have a white shoulder.
- Inspect the berry to make sure it is healthy with no marks.
- Break the strawberry off just above calyx by holding the stalk between your thumb and index finger and use a snapping motion to break off the strawberry stalk. We also provide scissors for ease of picking.
- Leave the green stem (calyx) on the strawberry to maximize its shelf life.
- Refrigerate your strawberries as soon as possible.
- Only wash your strawberries just prior to eating.
Please note
- Picking is available everyday between 10h00 – 17h00 summer time and 10h – 17h00 winter time
- Strawberry picking is weather dependent and during picking season, August to January.
- For health and safety reasons no dogs / pets are allowed onto the premises.
